Sunday Scoop and a Sale

It's a beautiful Sunday here in Connecticut. The temperature is in the low 70s and the sun is shining! I thought I'd take a few minutes to link up with Kristen, Juliet, and Cassie at The Teaching Trio for Sunday Scoop.

It's Children's Book Week AND we're finishing up Smarter Balanced Testing in grades 3 and 4. (Hopefully by Wednesday.)  Our first graders will be taking the NWEA tests until Friday.  Since testing requires concentration, we planned simple activities for the week.  We won't be doing anything wild like dressing as a book character. (I was going to be Mrs. Teaberry from the Mr. Putter and Tabby series. Drat!)

Tuesday is wear-something-you-can-read day, so I'll be off to the store shortly to see what I can find.
I just finished listening to Pride and Prejudice during my commute.  I'm hoping to get to the library to see what they have for audiobooks.

If you have any healthy smoothie recipes, please share in the comments!  We bought a Ninja, and I've been having fun experimenting.

I'm also happy to tell you that my ENTIRE STORE (including all bundles) will be on sale during the Teachers Pay Teachers sitewide sale!  Click here or on either image below to visit my store. Use coupon code ThankYou to get an additional 10% off from the generous folks at TPT.

Have a great week!

  1. Thanks for stopping by my blog...I came to visit yours now! Love your freebies! Can't wait to pass them on! I have to try books I can listen to in the car. What a great idea I have seen two times today.

  2. I love the idea of wearing a shirt you can read! What a great way to promote literacy. I might steal that this week - maybe for Friday! Thanks!
